2025 Airshow Security Items

March Air Reserve Base is a U.S. Government Federal Installation

Federal laws and California State Laws may apply.

Law Enforcement from all jurisdictions will be present for the airshow.

Real Identification (ID) is required to be on your person for adults.

Non-Real ID holders (Federal Limits Apply) require a second form of identification.

By entering the installation and airshow secure area, you are consenting to a search of your

person and your personal belongings.

All patrons will be required to be screened and walk-

through metal detectors to enter the Air Show.

SHOW DATES & GENERAL INFORMATION

  • A: April 12-13th, 2025

  • A: Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m.

    Show begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.

  • A: The show goes on, rain or shine.

  • A: No.

  • A: Yes.

  • A: Performers vary from year to year. We are excited to host the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds

  • A: A valid (not expired) government issued identification is required to be on your person in the event you must be identified. (i.e. state issued identification and/or driver’s license.

  • A: In the event, you are required to show identification. All foreign nationals, defined as non-U.S. citizens or anyone without legal permanent residence status, will be required to have a valid passport with visa stamp to be on your person in the event you must be identified. Paper copies or pictures of the passport will not be accepted.

  • A: The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, is strictly prohibited during the TFR within a 5-mile radius of March ARB during the entire duration of the air show.

    March ARB air space is controlled airspace, Class D for the safety of daily air operations. During the SoCal Airshow, to ensure the highest level of air traffic safety for aerial demonstrations, a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) will be implemented 11-13 April 2025.

    This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, all types of UAVs, drones, model aircraft, and remote-controlled aircraft.

    For drone pilots, recreational and certificated remote pilots, Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) requests will NOT approved within the TFR.

    REASONS FOR PROHIBITION

    The safety of our attendees, performers, and aircraft is our top priority. The presence of drone poses a significant risk to the safe execution of the air show, including:

    • Potential collisions with aircraft participating in the air show

    • Disruption of air show operations

    • Risk of injury to attendees and performers

    • Compromise of air show security

    ENFORCEMENT

    March Air Reserve Base along with local and federal law enforcement agencies will be actively monitoring the area for any drone activity. Any individual found to be operating a drone within the prohibited area will be subject to the following:

    • Confiscation of the drone

    • Removal from the air show grounds

    • Potential prosecution under applicable federal, state, and local laws

    RECOMMENDATIONS

    We understand that many of our attendees may want to capture photos and videos of the air show.

    We encourage you to use your cameras and smartphones to take photos and videos from th designated viewing areas. Our official air show photographers will also be on site to capture the action, and their photos will be available online.

  • A: Admission and parking are FREE. FREE admission gives you access to the open paved area where attendees can stand or sit on their own blankets or lawn chairs. Preferred seating areas are available for sale.
